LEAP of Central Florida to Offer Presentations at Technology Showcase

Linux Enthusiasts and Professionals of Central Florida will offer a series of GNU/Linux presentations at the Computers and Technology Showcase in Orlando, Florida, on May 15 and 16, 2002. Speakers will include:

  • Steve Litt: Author of Samba Unleashed, Troubleshooting Techniques of the Successful Technologist, and Rapid Learning: Secret Weapon of the Successful Technologist. Steve is the webmaster of Troubleshooters.Com, which recently converted to Linux.
  • Phil Barnett: Manager of the Harbour Project, an Open Source clone of the Clipper (Xbase) compiler. Phil is a Senior P/A at Walt Disney World and former President of LEAP.
  • Mark Matthews: Mark is a lead technologist and part owner of AbsoluteValue Systems, suppliers of the Open Source WLAN project. Mark is a world-acknowledged expert in wireless networking.
  • Max Lang: Max is a Slackware user from way back, an amateur radio operator, and a high ranking technologist at a health care company.


Other speakers are planned, and a good time will be had by all. If you can get away either of those days, be there!
